Absolutely. There are a few cases where we recommend a pre-cleaning first, as in the case of very dirty records with caked on dirt or other hard material. If you typically use a carbon fiber brush to "clean" records you should also be careful when physically cleaning with WAXX WIPES as carbon fiber brushes can shed microscopic bits of carbon that will score records when pressure is put on them.

Our vinyl wipes are too fine (over 700 gsm) to scratch your records, HOWEVER, you can scratch your records with them if there is hard grit (rocks etc) or detritus from other "cleaners" like a carbon fiber brush on them and you push down very heavily.

This is why we recommend you use light pressure initially when cleaning with WW, and ensure that there are not hard substances on the record before use.

Well, we got here first! All jokes aside, WW are better than other products because we actually source and manufacture them for the task. Every other microfiber maker simply repurposes existing microfiber cloths made for other uses. You can easily see the lack of thought... our microfiber is black so you can see and remove what you've cleaned off; theirs are not. It's basic stuff.

We're certain of it. Though we enjoyed our time with a huge variety of cleaning products from corduroy brushes to lint rollers (very popular on Amazon at the moment), we use WW because they work longer, they're easy to carry, and they don't get clogged like other methods. They can even be washed!

Yes! Sorry we keep mentioning it, but carbon fiber brushes leave small bits on records that can and will scratch them. A carbon fiber brush is exactly what you should NOT be using. In almost every case, damage our customers reported that has occurred to records cleaned with WW was caused by tiny shedding from carbon fiber brushes.
